Autumn Day – Herbsttag

Subhan’allah, I love autumn, all the signs of the end of a year, they fit so well with my mood at the moment: the rich colours, the clear skies, the fresh air and the sadness of fading and dieing but also the hope for a new beginning.

Have a blessed weekend friends!

Autumn Day  – Herbsttag

Lord: it is time. The summer was immense.
Lay your shadow on the sundials
and let loose the wind in the fields.

Bid the last fruits to be full;
give them another two more southerly days,
press them to ripeness, and chase
the last sweetness into the heavy wine.

Whoever has no house now will not build one
Whoever is alone now will remain so for a long
will stay up, read, write long letters,
and wander the avenues, up and down,
restlessly, while the leaves are blowing.

Befiehl den letzten Früchten voll zu sein;

— Rainer Maria Rilke —

  1. what beautiful pictures of Morocco, they make me want to come there more! I am a Canadian sister who recently met a Moroccan man…so who knows I may come over one day soon. He is from Taza. I am a Canadian revert who lives in a small town, where there is no masjid. So much about what I read and learn about Islam is from those that I have met online. I would love to add your blog to my list of bloggers to read!
